About the Backcountry Film Festival

The Backcountry Film Festival is a collaboration of filmmakers, corporate partners, athletes and environmental grassroots leaders dedicated to gathering and engaging the backcountry tribe. The Backcountry Film Festival promotes the work of grassroots filmmakers who tell compelling and entertaining stories of backcountry human powered recreation and environmental preservation, climate change issues, or snow culture.

Your film should be short— around 3 to 20 minutes —and tell an authentic story of backcountry, human-powered recreation or environmental preservation. Submissions must be in either a digital download format or on a DVD mailed to our office by September 1, 2017.
