As winter adventurers, we know firsthand how climate change is impacting our mountains, snowpacks, and ecosystems. Call Your Representatives

Our public lands are in dire need of funding and staffing. Make your voice heard by reaching out to lawmakers and advocating for conservation efforts, climate policies, and keeping public lands public! The 5 Calls app or website makes calling your representatives fast and easy with phone numbers and scripts. We recommend plugging in your location and then checking out any of their topics under “Environment” to get started

Email Your Lawmakers

Public lands are under threat from a severe reduction in the workforce and funding for research and management programs. Our easy-action tool makes it simple to write your lawmakers and demand that they reinvest in the workforce that manages our public lands. Feel free to customize the message to advocate for the issues you care most about!

Give Back to the Places You Love

Become a WWA Member

Your membership directly supports wildland conservation, nature-based climate solutions, sustainable recreation advocacy, and experiential education programs for more than 35,000 kids nationwide each winter. When you become a member, you become a major part of those efforts.

Volunteer at SnowSchool

Every year, SnowSchool works with 35,000 students at 70 sites across the country. For a majority of these students, snowshoeing is a new experience. Help the next generation of winter stewards connect with the outdoors. Find a local site to volunteer with!

Pledge to Ski Kind

Join fellow backcountry skiers, riders, splitboarders, snowshoers, and adventurers in pledging to #SkiKind! By taking the pledge, you become a part of the growing Ski Kind community. Together we can keep the backcountry open, accessible, inclusive, and protected.

Plan a Backcountry Cleanup

Gather friends for a trailhead or snowplay area cleanup to give back to the places that give us so much. Let us know if you need help connecting with a local grassroots group to gather more folks!
