Hosting a Backcountry Film Festival screening is designed to be simple, supported, and community-driven. As a host, you’ll bring inspiring winter films to your town, raise funds, gather your community, and celebrate winter and the protection of wild snowscapes. From application to event day, we’ll guide you through the process. Here’s the quick version of how hosting works and what to expect.
Season Timing
New 22nd Annual season films are expected to be available by October 29, 2026. Earlier screenings may use the previous season’s film program.
Planning Timeline
We recommend applying at least 8 before your preferred screening date, with a 6-week minimum whenever possible.
