Stewardship Programs
At Winter Wildlands Alliance, giving back to the land is an important part of what we do. For example, over the last several years we have organized an annual Day of Action getting skiers outside to help put up signs and mark wilderness boundaries in the Teton Range. And we support our grassroots groups across the nation with funding, communications and volunteer support for local stewardship projects. We are always open to new ideas as well, so if your favorite backcountry haunt needs some love, please get in touch.

No Heli-Skiing in the Centennial Mountains!January 6, 2021 - 1:07 pm
The Forest Service is poised to permit commercial heli-skiing in Idaho’s Centennial Mountains. We need your help to keep helicopters out of this special place.
Vote 2020November 2, 2020 - 9:26 pm
Let’s not sit this one out! If you think you might have something better to do on November 3 this year, like skiing four inches of blower pow on granite or maintaining social distancing and avoiding polling places, make sure you contact your county registrar and line yourself up with a mail-in ballot, fill it out, and get it in! Then go trash your skis, knowing that you did your part to keep your country off the rocks.
