Winter Wildlands Grassroots Advocacy [Virtual] Conference

“Can we save the backcountry from ourselves?”

Tuesday, Aug 24 – Wednesday, Aug 25

This past year has seen record-breaking visitation numbers and increased user impacts on public lands across the country. What does this mean for our beloved backcountry and the work we do to protect it from ourselves? Join policy makers, athletes, grassroots activists, scientists, educators, mountain guides, local elected officials and other recreation and conservation stakeholders and activists from across the country for a virtual program focusing on issues important to public lands, winter and sustainable recreation. Get the latest developments in policy and planning issues, share grassroots successes and strategies, meet with public land managers, gain new advocacy tools and spend quality time with colleagues, partners, new friends and allies. Help us find a way forward together.

WWA grassroots groups, backcountry partners, Alliance members, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds are welcome to join.

RSVP by Monday, Aug 23 and consider donating to help us cover costs.
