The Backcountry Film Festival is a celebration of the human-powered experience and a gathering place for the backcountry snowsports community. Funds raised at each screening stay in the local community to support human-powered recreation and conservation efforts, winter education and avalanche/safety programs and to raise awareness of winter management issues.

All proceeds from the Backcountry Film Festival will support the work of the Wallowa Avalanche Center.

The Outdoor Recreation Leadership program at Feather River College is once again hosting the annual Ski Stoke. Our Ski Stoke is a celebration of skiing in all of its forms. Arrive early and enjoy an opportunity to meet up with every skier in Plumas County. The program includes a festival of short ski videos and a raffle, with refreshments and treats on sale at the concession stand.

The Ski Stoke is a fundraiser for the ORL Program. Proceeds fund student scholarships for certification classes such as Avalanche Awareness, Wilderness First Responder and Swiftwater Recue. Support ORL students while enjoying films, raffles and treats.
